Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

The short version

We don't collect, store, or transmit your photos or personal data. Everything happens locally in your browser. We are a privacy-first tool — your photos never leave your device.

What we do not collect

  • Your photos or images (processed entirely in your browser)
  • Your name, email address, or contact information
  • Location data or IP-based profiling
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
  • Cookies for advertising or retargeting

How your photos are processed

All image processing — including background removal, cropping, resizing, and print layout generation — happens entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers because we don't operate any servers that process images.

The AI background removal feature uses the @imgly/background-removal library, which runs the AI model locally in your browser via WebAssembly. Model weights may be downloaded from a content delivery network (CDN) the first time you use the feature, but your photo data is never sent to that CDN.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage solely to remember your theme preference (light, dark, or system). No cookies are set for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes.

Third-party services

Our website may load fonts and assets from third-party CDNs (such as Google Fonts). These services may log your IP address as part of normal HTTP request logging. We do not control these third-party data practices and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you have concerns.

We do not use:

  • Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms
  • Facebook Pixel or social media tracking
  • Advertising networks
  • Session recording tools

Data security

Because we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no risk of a data breach from our systems. Your photos remain on your device at all times.

Children's privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this service, please note that no data was collected or stored.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
